Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a novel series written by the award winning author Yoshiki Tanaka. The first volume was published in November 1982 and ran for five years until July 1989.
Thousands of years in the future, two heroes flew in like comets amidst the endless war. This epic novel depicts the history of the galaxy on a grand scale, centering on the battle between our fated heroes. It was featured in the 1988 animated feature My Conquest is the Sea of Stars.
